Friendly staff and not too pricey but chips were chewy and bread was stale.

What happened to this place? New owners and staff? Not the best fish and chips I've ever had, fish tasty a bit strange certainly not fresh! Chips were also quite chewy is this normal??? Large fish and chips gone up to 10 now not really good enough tbh!
