Buxton Lodge Care Home

Avoid! Neglected my relative until she died in pain and starvation. Members of our family verbally abused by staff. Utterly disgraceful attitude towards residents and family. CQC need to be investigating asap.. Also owner/company wont response to emails opening this as an official complaint!

i'm diffrent to other local guides as a local guide i declare this place rotten and horrible to date since i visited last week

My granny has been here for coming up 3 years now. I am shocked to read the bad reviews (one a 'local guide'?! Take no notice of that!). I have only good things to say about this lovely caring place. Whenever I visit, Granny and the other residents are looking extremely well cared-for. She went into the home when still mobile, and the staff were wonderful at taking her for daily walks in the beautiful garden and dancing with her at every opportunity! Now no longer as mobile, she is always up, dressed and in the lounge every day. She loves the wonderful, friendly staff and they give her big hugs. She has dementia but she seems very happy. The home has become a lot smarter and modern recently, with little touches such as dining tables laid out like a restaurant with flowers. The food seems excellent from what my mother has seen when visiting. On the whole, we are delighted. We just want Granny to be happy and well cared-for, and she is both of those things. Thank you to the hard-working and caring staff. Please take time to find reviews on other sites where the only bad review, of many wonderful ones, is by the same lady who has clearly had an unhappy time.
