My wife and I recently returned home after staying four days at Dalegarth House, we had room number 8 which was beautifully decorated with delightful bedding and was absolutely spotless, superb bathroom with shower and a huge flat screen TV/large settee and chairs. Claire and Craig were outstanding hosts and we will be returning in the summer, the breakfasts alone are worth the cost on their own, fresh fruit, cereals etc and a full English that was just amazing, believe me you certainly won't go hungry and a great start to the day. The gardens are immaculate and their resident Pheasant struts around to the delight of the guests. Craig has a great understanding of the local area and any queries are quickly answered with his expert knowledge and will certainly point you in the right direction. In conclusion, this is a great place to stay and I would heartily recommend it to anyone looking to come to this delightful little village, oh and the nearby Pub, the Farmer's Arms serves superb meals at very reasonable prices but beware because the portions are very generous, our stay was amazing and worth every penny, bloody marvellous!

Great place to stay. I stayed in a single room for 3 nights. Everything was great. Lovely and very friendly owners are very attentive and provide great service. It is only 20-25 mins walk to Keswick. Room was very clean, warm and cosy. Fresh milk provided in a hallway in a shared fridge. Very good breakfast , a lot of to choose from. Plenty of parking space. Will definitely come back.
