Derwent Hill Outdoor Education and Training Centre

Derwent Hill is an amazing place that helps to grow young children in so many different areas. I have visited Derwent Hill 4 times with 10-11 year old children, getting ready to move to secondary school, and this centre helps prepare them by improving independence, resilience, teamwork and gives them memories they will remember for the rest of their lives. The instructors are second to none! They encourage and push the children to do more than they think they ever could. They adapt their plans to the group and weather they have in order to ensure all children get the most out of their time. I've been in summer winter and early spring and the children enjoyed all times of year. The food is great given the children choice and the fuel they need for the time ahead. I throughly recommend this for any children who have the opportunity to come here.
