Lake View

We stayed at the Lake View guest house for 4 nights and had a wonderful stay. From the moment of our arrival we were welcomed warmly and greeted with Katherines homemaid treats in our room. Our hosts were knowledgeable about the local area and happy to guide and advise us during our stay, even so far as offering to help dry our clothes after being out in the rain. The location was perfect, being quiet and peaceful but with the convenience of the lake being so close and the local town Keswick a short and pleasureable 20 or so minutes walk away. A walk which has so many lovely views and places to stop to take photos. Stayed in the superior king suite and the room itself was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, our room had a bath and a shower separate which is always a bonus. Breakfast was amazing, definitely filled us up and with Katherines homemaid marmalade being the best I have ever tasted. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lake View and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in the area.

This is a great place to relax and unwind. Credit to the owners for creating a warm and friendly atmosphere, and sharing their knowledge of the local area. We stayed in the front bedroom, which had a large bathroom, a really comfortable bed and outstanding views. In the morning, we had a lovely cooked breakfast using quality produce (you must try the porridge with the freshly made fruit compote!). We found the location of the guesthouse ideal for our needs to easily visit items on our itinerary, like the catbells fell walk, getting to the lake shore and an easy 20min walk away from Keswick town centre. We will definitely visit again. Thank you Stuart and Catherine for your hospitality.
