Popped into Porlock Weir on the way home from Cornwall. Lovely little independent shop with a charming owner. We were pleasantly surprised to be told not to worry about the lack of face masks as we had left them in the car. What a sad, sad little man the previous reviewer must be to stand outside and take pictures of the sign the owner had put up, a sign to encourage the public back into some sort of normality, then leave a review as he has without entering the shop or speaking to the owner at all. The sign reads you can enter with out a mask if you wish, Im sure wearing one if you so choose, would be fine. Keep up the good work.

The most welcoming shop I have been in for ages! Great friendly service and an array of beautiful glass pieces and jewellery. Me and my sister loved it there.

I have had the GREAT honor of having my sister (who lives in England) drive me about 6 hours round-trip for what I call a "pilgrimage " to Porlock Weir. I have always loved hand blown glass since I was a young woman, along with their cranberry glass, Bristol Blue, and beautiful vases and hand-blown Christmas tree ornaments. The absolute BEST things I found were what they called "2nds" or slightly imperfect, like a cranberry glass ginger jar that wasn't quite tall enough, but had a clear glass lid and leaned to one side, with clear glass nobs on the side, making it a perfect SUGAR BOWL.
