Food served cold. All steaks served beyond blue. Despite some asking for medium rare and rare. Very unattentive. Waited for ages between meal n the bill. So disappointed was really looking fwd to it.

What a shame, a really disappointing experience. We ordered a starter followed by our mains, the mains turned up, starter forgotten. They did take the food away but we were wary of the steak 'standing' while they sorted the starter so went straight for the mains. The food was very nice. Could have done without waiting staff asking one immediately after another if all was OK? And again one straight after another asking if we'd like to see the dessert menu! Only four tables occupied at this time so it's hard to appreciate they weren't aware of what their colleagues were doing as they were chatting amongst themselves most of the time. Decided on liqueur coffee, they had to go check what liqueur they had and came back to say if I wanted it with a coffee their machine's not working (for some time), so no coffee. So why not take this option off the CHALK board? Settled for the bill instead. Told they'd waived the service charge but I'd already noted this was only automatically added on tables of 7 or more! Two of us, so pointless comment.

I wish I took pictures of the food I was served because it is NOTHING like the slate presented art that is in the photos. I ordered a T-bone steak rare and a side of chips. Specified that I am allergic to tomatoes, garlic and onions so please to not include anything like that or have my food prepped on the same board. When the steak came out it was exactly that a hunk of meat on a plate with no garnish it was a large plate with a steak a steak with no colour to it, barely seared and when I cut into it close to the bone it was still cold, not cooled down cold but fridge cold. I thought maybe my dietary requirements meant no salad and gave them the benefit of the doubt until I saw several plates go to customers the exact same style. In my years as a customer and chef I have NEVER seen a steak on a plate with nothing else at all. This brings me onto the clearly frozen chips but whatever its a restaurant in 2023 and they were okay BUT were clearly cooked in the same vat as the onion rings due to the severe reaction I had upon reaching my hotel. I was at the best part ignored by wait staff and eventually had to find someone so I could pay my bill and leave. Still tried to charge a 10% service fee. I have had a few amazing, mediocre and terrible steaks in my life. Ive cooked my share of terrible steaks. This was the worst I have ever had by far.

I have had a few amazing, mediocre and terrible steaks in my life. Ive cooked my share of terrible steaks. This was the worst I have ever had by far.
