        Poole College recently spent millions on new music facilities and moved from the charming but crumbling old buildings at their location at Constitution Hill to the North Road site. The buildings now might be soulless, but the people who run the music services here are amazing. On Saturdays, heavily subsidised orchestra and wind band lessons for children aged 8+ at the Centre for Wessex Young Musicians and the amazing and well renowned Wessex Youth Orchestra. All groups regularly get the fantastic experience of playing in front of large audiences at the 1500 seat concert hall at Poole Arts Centre (The Lighthouse). This is a gem of a service with fantastic staff and teachers of the highest calibre, including some from the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
