After a 6 year absence I rejoined FF Poole. Not much has changed, still plenty variety of equipment. Changing rooms are clean, but now requires a padlock as opposed to a door contact card. Entry to the club is by using the app with a barcode scanner, so very simple. It's great to still have the sauna and steam room available. Opening hours are very flexible for me. Quite a few personal trainers available, I have managed to hook up with Jamie who I had in the past. On the minus side, I think that the Concept 2 rowing machines require a firmware update as I cannot pair my Ergdata app to any of them, I can on machines elsewhere. At the end of a row an error message is displayed and once cleared I have to take a picture of the result on the PM5 which means I then have to manually add it to the online log book which defeats the object really, however its good to be back.

the Worst of the Worst. finally going back to the Gym, after visiting many I chose this one, bad decision. Set a start date of Monday at 2 pm I even get called on Sunday to confirm! Tired but happy to start I go to the gym, reception empty, go to change and after repeating several times that it was the first day and I have no idea how it works in Uk anyway, the young lady at the visit told me I would get a description on how the equipment works quickly. I find those who say they don`t know anything with "I just started", out pops then the young lady who scheduled my start appointment and she didn`t even know what to do, now I say.. after 5 years of Gym in the past I never had to deal with incompetents like that or maybe because I don`t have perfect English? in a tone of mockery she told me "I thought you wanted to try when there were no people" dear young lady I don`t like super crowded gyms, where one has to wait for equipment like standing in line at the supermarket. I think this place have a selected people and I have never feel been treated like that. I Was ready to buy a membership for one year, I do not like months by months but thanks to show me that it was absolutely the wrong place!! good luck!
