We stopped in here for lunch and had delicious sandwiches, bagels and toasties served with great side salad, coleslaw and crisps. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. We'd definitely visit again if back in Poole.

I reached out to The Porthole to see if they could cater to an afternoon tea I wanted to host for a friend's Hen Do after not finding anything in the area that suited my needs. Elenor went above and beyond, I couldn't have asked for anything more from our time there. They set up and decorated the venue for us, came up with a fantastic menu catering to vegan guests and allergies, had us constantly supplied with teas and coffees, and charged a very reasonable amount per head. We had the whole tea room to ourselves for the hen do and all had such a lovely time. We were very well fed, and happily took Elenor up on her offer of take away boxes so we could take home all the uneaten cakes and scones that we all wanted, but couldn't manage to eat, given the very generous portion sizes. Elenor also went out of her way to create a whole vegan version of the afternoon tea, the scones and the smoked carrot and cream cheese sandwiches were definitely a highlight! I would highly recommend The Porthole for anyone requiring a small venue that go out of their way to deliver. Or to anyone in Poole that just fancies a cup of tea/coffee and a slice of cake!
