Last year Mollys did us proud and provided excellent service and food. However, this year I wanted them again for my daughter's wedding. Despite three emails, several phones calls, and being told they had put in the diary, I still had not received written confirmation nor menus. On phoning again a week later I was told they were not sure as they may not be able to but would definitely let me know on Monday. Today is now Thursday and not one word from them, so Goodbye Mollys, I have given the business to another. Excellent food, very bad admin....beware

It's a shame that I have to write such a bad review about Molly's catering. The owner is a lovely person when you talk to her face to face but this just doesn't make up for the low standard of service that they provided. We hired Molly's Catering for our wedding in Dorset - we were a small group of 60 people. I'll just write down the key facts, otherwise this would be a very long review. 1) They don't reply to emails / calls. We called / emailed them multiple times, they didn't get back to us or only weeks later and usually not with a reply to our question but with a very vague answer. Not helpful when you're organising a wedding! 2) The day before the wedding we had a lengthy meeting with the Owner where we talked her through the whole day (again), explain when we need champagne, what the key words would be to get the champagne ready, what kind of garden games they would provide us with, etc. On the day of our wedding the owner wasn't present and she hadn't told anyone of the staff about our conversation so they didn't know anything that was discussed. Not helpful when you get married! 3) The catering staff cut our wedding cake. Enough said. They cut OUR wedding cake before they brought it out for everyone to see. Not helpful when it's tradition that the bride and groom cut the wedding cake. 4) We had the cake at around 10pm. By then a couple of the staff had already left and they had taken all forks with them. So we had to eat the wedding cake with our hands. Not helpful. 5) They got the orders completely wrong. People pre-ordered starters and desserts and they just didn't manage to give everyone what they ordered. 6) They got the invoice wrong (no surprise here, they are not very well organised so we kind of knew to watch out for this...) What can I say - I'd recommend you pick a different catering for your function.
