A cracking example of why retail banking is on its backside. Go in at lunch only ever 1 cashier on. Queue is 8 people strong. There was another individual hiding round the corner and another on the welcome desk pointing people to the one cashier. Cashier doesnt know his backside from his elbow asking instructive questions about what I plan to use my own cash for. Someone put this branch out of its misery!! The end is nigh for this particular branch of high street bank. Its honestly laughable. I look forward to a Costa coffee opening in your space imminently!

I think a large proportion of the reviews left here are defamatory, based more on LBG not being able to help with a request over the service itself. This is my local bank, the staff are local, theyre very kind and very helpful and have always tried to help me with my enquiries. Most recently the branch manager Pamela, spent nearly 3 hours with me and a variety of teams sorting out a transfer, she could of easily said that she didnt have time, but she didnt and not only did I feel represented, but I also felt like I was cared about. We did eventually get the transfer/loan sorted and I can now happily say, I own a little house in Italy which wouldn't of been possible without Pamela's tenacity and support. I simply couldn't recommend this branch enough or the people in it. I would could completely disregard the existing negative reviews. Really happy theyre my local. And.. if Pamela reads this, you made my year! x

Rude and untrained cashier lady. I was told a while back that they cannot reopen ISA account even theirs closing statement says it is possible. I had to speak with Branch Manager. Today I popped in to deposit quite a lot of money and had 2 debit cards to current joint account. I did put my wifes card and entered the right pin. Lady took the money but patronised me about not using my wifes card. I wouldnt even bother using her service if ATM hasnt been broken every time I pop in! ATM dont care what card I use as long as I know PIN number. ATM isnt rude! I really think about changing to 100% internet banking to avoid any contact in person with people like that. Now I have to go there to confirm my identity for some reason After being their customer for 15 years, after depositing my life saving etc I did answer milion questions over the phone incl my shoe size, but I still have to go there with my id to confirm my identity. Such a joke. Monzo or Sterling bank will do things like that via their apps. They can 3d scan my face, verify documents by having short videos of me etc Dinosaurs like Lloyds are going to die if they dont retrain or replace their staff with professionals.
