When my friend and I tried to visit Figbury Lodge the welcome was poor and we were told by a nurse or receptionist that we couldn't look round as her husband's name wasn't on their list. What have they got to hide? Not very welcoming, so pleased he didn't go there.

Now I have been To Figbury twice to visit relatives in their own rooms, the staff were very nice and helpful ,the place its self is very tidy with a good atmosphere. lf i needed to go into a nursing home with dementia, Figbury Lodge would be good place to stay

I was appalled to hear how my grandma was treated during her rest bite at figbury lodge. She described it to me as scared bite rather then rest bite, she explained how she needed changing whilst being there (bed pan) only to be shouted at and mistreated by a care worker, she can't remember her name but she was blonde and tall, she said how she could hear that voice from down the hallways shouting and it made her very uncomfortable during her time there. Even when requesting tea and coffee there was sarcasm and rudeness. I feel gutted my grandma had to endure the experience she did. She did say otherwise that other staff was extremely helpful and caring but she unfortunately felt on edge with this particular one. I do hope my grandma neither has to endure this again.
