Pontefract Shoe Repair

Taken a pair of shoes in for repair, returned to pick them up on the agreed 4 days later and was told they haven't got the stock in to repair them as they haven't been down to the warehouse for the stock, we agreed that I could pick them up in another 4 days time. Returned for the 2nd time to be told again they wasn't ready, after asking why, same answer... they hadn't been down to pick stock up from warehouse and wouldn't be doing because its near Christmas. Extremely poor customer service, poor excuses especially in these times where we are asked to shop local to support local businesses - will not be going there again, i will be taking them to a highstreet brand like Timpsons, atleast you know the work will get done.

What an absolute farce. Took my boots in for repair (the tongue was pulled out). Gave them the boots and got a ticket. The Gentleman behind the counter said it'd be ready in 2 days. So my wife walked up to town 2 days later to "sorry I've not had time" long story short, it took them 11 days to fix my boot, and when I got it back the tongue was alot shorter than the original... So I've got odd boots now. It's a shame, because I prefer to support local businesses, but unfortunately I won't be using this service again. Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend.
