I'd been a member of a local camera club for about 5 years and felt I was stagnating, not developing. I visited Pontefract Camera club and received a welcome second to none. The members were friendly, helpful and were so willing to provide guidance and assistance. I joined the club and have learned so much. There are some really good photographers in the club, some who have their own photography businesses. The club is one of the best in the country and well worth joining. If you have an interest in photography and want to improve your skills, whether you're a complete novice or have a lot of experience you could not join a better club.

My wife and I joined PCC about 6 yesrs ago and have never looked back. The members are very friendly and always happy to help and guide you if you require help, The atmosphere is very friendly and relaxed and the weekly programme is very varied with something for every one. We also have a get together in the bar after the meeting.

I've been a member of PCC for a couple of years now and find it a friendly club with a varied programme that caters for both novice and the more experienced camera user. The members are friendly and welcoming and the facilities are great for the club and allows socialising to take place during and afetr the meeting.

About ten years ago I decided to join a camera club, I tried one in a different area first on a free basis for a couple of weeks and then tried Pontefract. I never went back to the 'other' club and have been a member of PCC ever since. I have learnt so much and enjoyed the friendly banter of the other members, who are always willing to advise or lend a helping hand. There is always something different happening each week. If you have a camera and want to spend time with like minded people then you should give this club a try, you wont regret it.

I have been a member of Pontefract Camera club for just over a year and wish I had joined sooner! I came with very basic knowledge of the skills and techniques required but the club took me under their wing and made me feel so welcome. Everyone has been happy to spend time helping me to learn and showing me new skills and ideas. During the pandemic the club has adapted with the times and hosts Zoom meetings where we can continue to share great photography but also all catch up and have a good chat! I would highly recommend the club to anyone- those just starting out on their photography hobby through to professional photographers!
