The Ordinary Climbers Rock Climbing Gym

We booked a birthday party for 7 13 years old boys and they all had an amazing time. The party was very well organised. But what made me write this review, is the staff. They were absolutely brilliant with the boys and made it sooo much fun. They seemed to have fun themselves and thats what makes the difference. Joking with the boys , encouraging them to push themselves. If there is an option, I would give them 10 stars. Very well done and I definitely recommend!!

Second time we have visited and we would highly recommend. The staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble and the coffee is great too. There is hours of climbing here and for all ages too. Extremely well run. Kids had a brilliant time and were encouraged and the amount of advice and help they were given was invaluable. We will definitely be bringing them back for the after school club.

The Ordinary Climbers Gym is an excellent environment for learning and practicing climbing. The staff are very kind and hospitable, giving a sense of comfort and support to all-comers. The facilities are varied enough to provide sufficient challenge for all levels, being especially useful for beginners to develop their skills. The instructors are excellent teachers, whether one-on-one or in groups, and can cater for all ages. This is an excellent gym that I would highly recommend to anyone interested in climbing.

Three of us did the instructed hour session and highly recommend it for those new or returning to climbing. The centre has a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere and the instruction from Matt was clear and encouraging without being patronising and he was kind enough to just quietly give me a chalk bag when he noticed how much I was struggling with sweaty fingers and shaky legs. Will definitely be back and there's clearly a lot of variety and more challenging options for those who want it.
