Podington by Cherry Lane

Good garden centre and certainly better than the original on this site. This belongs to the Cherry Lane chain of garden centres and they've done a good job of getting this location up to scratch. Everything seems to be well organised on the gardening front and they now seem to sell almost everything you can think of....a sort of village Auntie Wainwright's with groceries and all sorts, even some DIY stuff and furniture plus outdoor clothing and toys! Good to see it all well set out. Plastic plant pots and trays can be recycled in the car park, as you come in. This has moved several times but this is it's home, I'm told by a staff member. The caf menu looks good and everything is well presented. We stopped for a morning coffee and that tasted fresh. Cakes etc., look nice. Not sure if they're back to full menu yet....it didn't seem to be an option when we called in recently

Nice play, well stocked with a large variety of plants. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Very friendly service in the Cafe, lots of choice in store. Definitely worth a visit. Extra choice for cafe seating now available outside lovely setting.
