I have recently (July 2019) completed a period of 10 therapy sessions with Alex Lloyd to help me overcome a habitual threat-based response to every day issues which affected my work, family and relationships. Alex has a calming, compassionate style that instantly made me trust her (which was not common for me) and to trust the way she was going to try and help me. Our sessions quickly became the place I could let go of constantly trying to protect myself and/or control everything. This safe zone allowed me to be much more responsive to more positive ideas, suggestions or discussions about what was the primary driver of my responses, the unintended consequences of my actions that were contributing to my issue, and to open up to new ways of thinking and responding. Alex doesnt fix people, she allows them to fix themselves by providing the tools, skills and different thought processes that start to layer on each other until you realise you are making progress. I highly recommend Alex to anyone who is looking for a skilled, compassionate and collaborative therapist.

I have recently completed a period of sessions with Alex and I can say they have changed my life for the better. I have learnt so much about myself and how to deal with relationships ultimately enabling me to move forward with confidence and hope. I first came to Alex with multiple problems that all interlaced with one another. Alex helped me to unravel how I was feeling and why. Through reflecting on my childhood, experiences and relationships that have shaped me as a person, the behaviours of others and the behaviour I have learnt over the years, I have been able to understand how and why things are the way they are and what I can do to change things. Ultimately this has resulted in me breaking a repetitive cycle and ensuring I can progress with my life. Alex has enabled me to become a much more confident and happier person. I wholeheartedly recommend Alex. She has a very calm and reassuring demeanor which allows you to reflect and progress each time you meet. Thank you Alex!
