I highly recommend James Burman. He has done a lot of work for us in our new flat and everything has been done to the highest possible standard. James installed a new shower, wasted disposal, repaired one of our toilets and replaced out old boiler with a completely new Worcester Bosche combi boiler and Google Nest thermostat. What is outstanding about James is his ability to solve difficult problems when other plumbers would simply give up or give you a story about how they cant do the job or how you have to hire a builder to make it easy for them. James is fantastic, always punctual and a really pleasant person to deal with, I felt that as a customer I was his top priority. Five stars and if I could give ten I would. Services: Shower installation, Faucet installation, Toilet repair, Water heater installation, Garbage disposal installation

I have recently purchased a new property and needed some plumbing items completed as well as a new gas boiler. James was recommended to me which I believe to be the worst recommendation I have ever received. I had radiators installed at the property, 2 had to be replaced as he didnt allow for plaster behind the radiators, when installing the radiators in the hallway and lounge he ruined the carpet, I had to threaten court proceedings before James would respond to complete the work i had already paid and in the process of installing the radiator in the kitchen he chipped the brand new flooring (tiles). Awful experience. I asked James to install new pipes for hot water and cold water on the opposite side of the kitchen (where the new kitchen sink would reside). The plans for the kitchens were in the kitchen at all times for all tradesman coming into the property. James ran the pipes down a wall where a cupboard was going to be, I advised James the work needs to rectified as a cupboard was going to be placed there and he had to return and chisel the pipes into the wall. It seems James will cut all corners to rush a days work which is not helpful at all from a clients point. Upon running these new pipes I had a leak all the way down one of my kitchen walls, I advised James early in the day hoping he could come to the property that day and fix the issue, he advised turning the water off for 24 hours so he could visit the property the next day, not the end of the world but very inconvenient. He fixed the issue the next day BY RIPPING MY BATHROOM PANEL OFF, CUTTING MY HOT WATER TAP OFF AND DAMAGING THE SEAL AROUND THE BATH. He advised as he installed new pipework by T-ing off old pipework he caused the leak. I asked James if he would repair the damage to the bathroom to be told if you are able to repair the bath panel, tiles around the bath, the bath seal and have the hot water tap replaced and connected when you renovate the bathroom that would be better James would not return and repair these items leaving me to pay another tradesman to do all of the repair work costing myself further funds outside of my renovation budget. Also as he did not follow the plans for the pipes for the new kitchen, we had to re-plan the entire units on the back wall as the pipes were in the wrong place!! I contacted James prior to re-planning the units and guess what... NO RESPONSE FROM JAMES AT ALL. I lost half a day with my carpenter that I had to pay because he had alter the kitchen plan because of these pipes. New boiler installed - Initially the boiler was going to put in the loft, however James advised it would be better to have this in the utility. I believe this is due to workman having issues going up and down the loft for services, eventually we agreed to have the boiler put where he recommended in the utility. Since the boiler has been installed Gas Safe have inspected and identified risks associated with the installation and recommended further improvement. James came out and contacted me instantly as these recommendation had to be done within 14 days (weird considering HE NEVER answers his phone or responds without a consequence!). 6 months later GAS SAFE have recently came to the property to reinspect after the recommendation were carried out to find further risks and defects with his work. GAS SAFE are now recommending further improvements to be made within 14 days. In conclusion his telephone manner is condescending and rude when he feels clients should make repairs after he tears through a bathroom from a leak he has created. He is not capable of preventative measures to ANY floors and every item of work he has done in my property has had to be redone. GAS SAFE are forcing him to do rectifications to the boiler by threatening his GAS SAFE LICENCE and now Gas Safe have advised they will be looking into further work of his to ensure this is not an isolated incident based on his poor workmanship. Once you have paid him, good luck contacting him! OVERALL I WOULD AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
