Hello to everyone going through a tough time organising a funeral (and all that goes with it). It's a tough time made easier by the excellent service provided by Southwest Funeral Care. All the team of Paul, Stacey, and Lisa were polite and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We opted for the "Citadel Plan (In-house Service)". This allowed us to have a funeral service at their premises to say goodbye with a Wake afterwards. Time was not an issue. With the Citadel Plan we arrived early in the afternoon and had a small service for around 18 people. We were then allowed to continue straight into a time of chat and remembering, food and drinks. A far cry from a typical (and more expensive) scenario at a cemetary or crematorium. This worked well with our plans since we are also going to organise a Celebration of Life 'event' in a couple of months time. We were also able to set up a live video feed via YouTube (we organised this) and that worked well also. Relatives and friends from afar were so pleased we could do this. All in all, I would strongly recommend chatting to Paul and the team. All the best. Jonathan

The care and compassion showed by Paul and his family went above and beyond, our daughter did not want a big funeral and we could not have made a better choice even after the service, so Thankyou from all the family from the bottom of my heart. X

The team at South West Funeral Care, Plymouth are a shining example of knowledge, professionalism and most of all compassion. I had to arrange the funeral of an elderly relative; who had made me write down precisely what she wanted in my "notebook" . The team not only followed herplan but added their touches to arrange a truly beautiful celebration . The service was conducted at Southway. It was exactly what she would have wanted. I can not recommend the lovely people from Southwest Funeral Care any higher... They blew us away with the care, compassion and professionalism that was shown to our dear Mum and all of the family...The moment we walked threw their door, We just knew that we had made the right choice. Lots of little personal touches by them made sure that the day went perfectly...Just as Mum would have wanted it... I can not fairly single out anyone... You were ALL amazing!!!.. Thank you so ,so much for all your hard work, great communication and compassion that you have given... xxx
