Bus stop

Been for breakfast twice since the reopening. Both were pleasant experiences with good food and polite staff. There were a few minor issues regarding consistency of the food and delays in service but nothing to put off going on a regular basis.

The first thing that greets you as you enter the Griffin is a wall of noise. The wooden floors and bare walls reverberate the sounds so that everyone has to shout to be heard and the noise just gets louder. I do enjoy sparkling water with my meal but they had run out. The fish was overcooked and dry and the Eton mess was very sour, like unripe gooseberries. I'ts such simple food to get right, how can they get it so wrong.

We had a lovely family meal here. We all ordered something different off the menu and we all cleared our plates. The service was very good and the food which we didn't have to wait long for was piping hot. Desserts were lovely too. Well worth a visit.

Very disappointing Went to the Griffin when they opened. Al a Carte menu was not available till the flowing Monday. Went again over 2 weeks later Al a Carte menu still not available. Because we wanted to sit outside there was no waiter service. Went again today 5 Aug 19 and no meals being served at all. Including us 2 other couples were turned away. Such a shame after all the money spent on this place to make it look amazing. We wont be goi g back. You need to get youre act together.
