For the last year I have been going to Mac salon. All the staff are extremely kind, the atmosphere is also very convivial and you are going to feel very welcome. No matter what age group or gender you are, they seem to know how to perfectly style your hair. Everyone seems to leave the place very happy and the prices are very competitive. We have a little gem in Plumstead. Services: Blowouts, Hairstyling, Hair coloring

It's difficult to explain the experience really. I'd say on first appearances staff seem friendly, however they seem to treat some clients with a more respectful attitude. I couldn't help but feel there was a general standards of beauty snobbery. Had I been a slim thing with a manicure I feel I'd have been treated better. I got spoken down to by the hairdresser doing my hair. She suggested I'd been washing my hair in the bath and that's why there was a build up of skin on the scalp etc. I told her that was not the case, I don't take baths, I shower, and explained about psoriasis, which I now have diagnosed. It was clear she didn't believe me however. It's quite like a playground clique, if you don't look a certain way then you'll get treated like you shouldn't be there. I didn't feel comfortable. It's not nice to feel looked down on. There are some other factors also which I don't want to go into. However I would say they're not Autism child friendly or understanding either. I tried this hairdressers a few times for sake of convenience on area, however have found a hairdressers in Lewisham I'd rather travel to. A kinder attitude can go far
