We visited during lambing season. The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. This is a working farm.

Crouchland biogas is the fucure of renewable energy in a world which is running out of fossial fules, it is important to start thinking green. Also with globle warming being so present it is important we start changing to renewable energy such as biogas with not green house gases are produced and let out into the atmosphear. When I visted I loved seeing the sight of seeing the start of hopefully what the word is going to turn into renewable green energy

Lovely landscape and countryside for the dairy farm, but not appropriate for the Industrial Biogas plant that they have now sited on the farm, without planning consent. Two major pollutions from the lagoons storing digestate have twice destroyed aquatic life in a stream leaving the farm and passing on for several kilometres through neighbouring farms who have had to sell their stock due to their pastureland being contaminated. No community engagement - and little confidence from the locals after having not been told the true intentions of the management. A great shame as the previous management ran a community based enterprise which was welcoming to the community and much loved. We now hear they wish to install a Mega-Dairy where cows are kept indoors all year round and requires a gigantic construction surrounded by Ancient Woodland. Sad.
