Currently the church is only open on Wednesday. 9 to 5. It is a fairly standard Somerset Perpendicular building, seemingly all of one build. What it is famous for is the woodwork. The benchends on the pews are of at least two periods. The earlier includes a set of four little men forming a clerical procession. More amusing than uplifting. The majority are later, carved by the well-known Simon Wareman(or Wereman) who has inserted an advertisement for his work on a bench at the West end. This is dated 1560. Normally, his work has a large variety representing 16th century life but this time he is limited to abstract Renaissance patterns. Presumably at the clients behest. So, this time the best woodwork is in the screens that span the whole East of the church and, especially, the amazing pulpit which includes large carved figures, almost in the round. So far as I know this is unique in a parish church. There is also a rare wooden eagle lectern.
