Fab Wedding venue in the heart of the Herefordshire countryside. Plenty if room for parking. Bar prices reasonable. Food was fabulous. Friendly and helpful staff. Great day out.

DO NOT USE THIS WEDDING VENUE!! Having read the many other low rated reviews (in hindsight I wish wed done that before booking Lyde Court) we can whole heartedly agree with every poor comment about the way it is run! The main barn itself is beautiful and needs very little doing to it.which is a good thing, as the management/owners are very good at doing very little! We got married earlier this week. Communications with Lyde court from the beginning has been somewhat lacking (chasing for responses, someone different every time, not knowing whats already been agreed etc) and it appears as soon as they get your money they lose interest! We had so many issues the day before and even on the day its ridiculous! The caterers recommended by Lyde court were not up to standard and our delicate winter afternoon tea actually transpired into a platter of sandwiches plonked in front of our guests to just have at it! Not what had been discussed and certainly not what we were expecting. Hugely disappointing as wed kept this a surprise for our guests. The so called VIP rooms are again very below standard. Freezing so much so that some guests couldnt stay and ended up going to the local Premier inn! My mothers room had a dripping shower that we couldnt stop and a rancid mouldy coffee cup that had just been left for god knows how long. Making me question how well/often their rooms are actually cleaned The bridal suite is again freezing and very outdated with dirty bedding. Both Gary and Karen (the owners) are the face of the venue and to be honest you barely see or speak to them. And when you do finally manage to get a hold of them they are so unhelpful and disinterested its very frustrating. We are in the process of getting refunded for the numerous errors on Lyde courts part As I said, the actual venue itself is beautiful.but so are a lot of other barns. Please do you research and find a venue that will cater to your every need and not end up tainting your special day with their obtuse attitude Having finally spoken to Gary on the phone after being ignored all day as they are trying to get out of giving any refunds, he actually told me to Fuck off and hung up! Im in complete shock and disgusted that he runs an actual business
