Justin and his team worked on a set of Gordon Russell 1960s walnut furniture, table, chairs, sideboard and chest of drawers, which had been well-used in our family. We selected Justin for his 'wabi sabi' approach, finding beauty in the imperfections of aged things, over firms that wanted to strip the surfaces back to perfection. The pieces have come back looking really good - not 'like new', because that would have taken away their history, but fit to be enjoyed for another sixty years, with historic damage treated, polished and gleaming and the chairs cleaned and with new seat stuffing. We are delighted and recommend Freeland Restoration Ltd very highly.
