        Terrible. Drove all the way down from London only to find the shop closed despite showing up online as open for another hour.

        Excellent butcher. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Wasn't remotely stumped when I explained I am a vegetarian but was buying meat for the family. He was incredibly helpful, made suggestions and didn't make me feel daft. The food is of excellent quality. Lots of choice of local produce. And got a great bargain with a meat pack. Well worth a visit.

        The meat on display in The Hungry Guest Butchers looked very good quality. However, and my family were convinced that the pork sausages I purchased were supermarket sausages. On the plus side I know that my local butcher makes the best quality sausages . I have given 3 stars because I feel it would be unfair to mark lower on one item, given that the other products looked good quality.
