I am posting this a year after we used Hawes as a result of the sudden passing of our dear ma. Unfamiliar with this new, sad landscape we now found ourselves in, we relied on the recommendation of a friend. The word 'fantastic' may feel incongruous given the circumstance, but our ma received the most glorious day as befitted her glorious life, and we, meanwhile, received honesty, professionalism, great attention to care and detail, as well as genuine warmth. Thank you, Dawn, and the rest of your team for taking great care of us all, and apologies for the delayed review.

We can not thank everyone at James Hawes enough for their support, compassion and respect in conducting my dear Aunts funeral. They made my Uncle feel so comforted with the care shown for her and consideration afforded to him and other family members. Their perfect services made an overwhelming occasion into a beautiful day full of loving memories.

When I lost my dear dad I was distraught beyond belief, I was going to use a different funeral directors the same one as I did my mum but being disabled I could not get up the steps but then that led me to use james hawes which I am so glad that I did they was very accommodating being on a scooter they made me feel at ease from sitting with Dawn to arrange the funeral to when the cars pulled up they assisted to get scooter on board and bob well I cannot thank him enough he and his team escorted my dad with such honour and respect, the service was conducted lovely and for such a sad occasion it was beautiful. Thankyou guys your the best and I have instructed my children when it's my turn to come to yous x Also for such a lovely service that yous provide your very reasonably priced x

It was heartbreaking to come to a point in my life where after caring for my beloved mother for many years I had to put that trust with somebody else. A friend recommended James Hawes. I gave them a call, and spoke to Dawn. She showed so much compassion and empathy in a time where i was so distraught, and down, it honestly meant so much to me that she would care like I did for my mother. She was so understanding and talked me through everything at my pace. She arranged the funeral service so elegantly to every need I requested for my Mum in the most dignified Catholic way, with a blessed chapel of rest and crucifixes on the coffin. A few days before the day of the service she introduced me to Bob, who i was informed would be looking after me and my mum on the day of her funeral. I can honestly say Bob didn't just look after us that day , he went above and beyond all expectations , so did all involved in my mothers funeral. Although a very sad occasion, many family and friends mentioned it was the most dignified and loveliest service they had seen. Bob and Dawn even took the time the following day to call me to see how I was coping, that was a lovely touch as they could feel my upset. Between Fr Philip and James Hawes I can not thank them enough for the respect and care they showed to my mother and myself. I am not a person that normally would take the time to post reviews , but when people show this much kindness I felt the need to , I can not thank them enough for everything they done.
