A lovely cosy pub. The real fire was a bonus, and the lager was fab. The menu looked enticing. We highly recommend this pub. Update We recently had a meal here, and it was delicious! I highly recommend the homemade vegetable lasagne and garlic bread! Lager was great, too.

It claims to be a child friendly pub, but doesnt act as such. After spending a small fortune on a couple of meals and drinks, we were gathering our stuff ready to leave and our 4 year old started to walk around the pub. He wasnt running around screaming or miss behaving, he might have said hello to a few people and like I said was only walking around whilst we were getting ready. The bar manager asked us to stop him as people were enjoying their nice meals and didnt want to be disturbed by him! I was flabbergasted and shocked. If he didnt want to welcome our kid to the pub he should have said so before we ordered our meals not after we paid. We left feeling shocked, very angry and with a hole in our pockets. Wont set foot there ever again! Not the kind of attitude you expect from a supposedly child friendly pub!
