"where are we going?" ..."you'll see" ...my family loved it, it's a brutalist oddity part of a new development in the 60's? Seems to be surrounded by pensioners homes and I'm sure like Gateshead carpark the locals hate it but it's a glimpse into a time when architecture wanted to try something new,to challenge convention, it didn't always work and often the materials and the end use didn't equate, so enjoy this piece of modernism in the north east before it goes.
