Marc provides an excellent service, unbeatable prices and always delivers as quickly as possible via good couriers. He has gone beyond the call of duty a couple of times for me now and he's quickly become one of my favourite providers for my little luthiery business. Top guy, very highly recommended!

In short: Marc is very friendly and is a very nice person. He's really passionate about guitars and is highly experienced. His reviews on his ebay page "luthiers-warehouse" are also great so don't hesitate to purchase something from him there or if you run a big business and have big orders to make - just don't make the mistake of asking for something one-off and custom like I did. (try crater guitar supplies instead) Long story: I approached Marc after seeing him post a one-piece maple strat on his ebay page as I was looking for a one-piece maple single cut guitar. He was very responsive that day and full of great ideas and we ended up agreeing on producing two guitars, one of which I paid in full on the day. However, the months that followed involved me having to message Marc constantly to get any response, and I only got one every few weeks after begging for one. After two months, he arranged a courier to pick up my guitar necks and parts (to check the fit) but entered the wrong address. They only managed to get in the truck because I noticed the mistake towards the end of the day and happened to see the truck outside. The next 3 months involved me trying to get a response from Marc, him telling me to send him the details for the builds, me doing that, and him asking me for the exact same thing every two weeks. We also had phone calls once a month to discuss the builds, which were essentially just confirming the same details of the builds each time. Eventually I decided to try and set a deadline, and asked Marc if he could finish everything by Christmas, to which he said he could finish everything within the week or two. The year came and went and nothing was done, so I had to face the reality that they weren't going to be built. I told Marc that I wanted a refund and to have my stuff back and he was fairly quick with the refund. Getting my stuff back was, however, another anxiety-inducing experience. It took 2 to 3 weeks of constant messaging to get Marc to send my stuff back, but he got the post code wrong and it was sent to another part of the city. I was fully expecting this error after what happened while trying to send the parts to him, so I told him about the error but he told me that it was just the way the printer typed things. It took no less than 10 phone calls to the courier to get them to do nothing and despite Marc's promise to chase the courier for an answer, he never did it. In the end, I gave up and spent 2 hours driving down to the quick-access point to get my stuff back. When I opened the box, all the parts were there, which was a huge relief. However, one of the neck plates had many scratches all over it, and one of the necks had a crack in the poly finish on the tip of the headstock. These were new when I sent them so I was quite upset about it. I contacted Marc about the whole ordeal and expressed how disappointed I was with the whole experience. He apologised and offered to finish the single cut guitar as a gesture of friendship, but I never heard from him again. Overall the impression I got was that Marc is a very warm and friendly person who is very passionate about what he does, but has too much on his plate to actually get around to doing small orders despite being happy to accept them. Marc - thank you for being so nice and friendly over the phone, but I really have to post this so that others don't suffer the same disappointing experience. I have tried to be as objective as I can about what has happened and I apologise if I haven't. I wish you all the very best.
