        The staff are awful. They take things very personal. Ive had not one but two awful experiences with staff making and also allowing very personal opinions and insults. It is not a friendly place neither are the people and nor are they lgbtq+ friendly. The ammount of aggro is beyond belief. The ammount of druggies and alcoholics that is welcome is quite worrying. Overall an awful place and I will not be stepping foot into that threshold

        Nice and clean. No hassles. Big room, two single beds, wardrobe, coffee table, chairs, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, cups and plates, bowls, cutlery, coffee, milk, sugar. Downstairs, big bar, pool, duke box, TV screens, straight forward staff, friendly patrons, made to feel very welcome and included in the conversation and banter. I was here during a very cold snowy winter, and I will definitely be staying here again in more clement weather. Durham isn't far and would like to have a look around sometime. Good regular bus service right outside the front door. Recommend to anyone wanting good wholesome cheap digs. Enjoy!!
