    The Jag we bought had a major engine failure on the way home. The car was returned to them. It has taken over 2 months, but to their credit, we have finally received our deposit payment back, and can now look for another car. It won't be a Jag.

    Well, it's now Wednesday 19th April 2023, 3 days after purchasing my new car that went really well, I had taken the train from Reading after speaking with a very polite and professional young man about the car I was interested in test driving, first of all, many garages insist on a holding deposit, whereas here, he insisted he would hold it for me without any fee and assured me it would be ready for the next afternoons test drive... Well, I had no idea there were garages still like this any more? And honestly, in my own personal experience now, I have no idea why or even how there are negative reviews here, this was obvious from the beginning that is was a family run business, and from the start, they could not have done more for me if they tried, the owner had spent a considerable time, going over with me all the noticeable issues and then discounted them all before a final figure was agreed, in addition to this, the owner insisted on giving me a 1000, 3 month warranty free of charge on top of the discounted price, he said, just in case anything non wear and tear related were to go wrong, as they knew I had a long way to travel home (roughly 2.5hrs away), and unfortunately (after they had closed on the way home, yet they still answered the phone for me to inform them) and unexpectedly, something did happen (Well, with it being a 10 year old second hand car that people expect to be brand new for some reason?), It was not like I was unprepared, what with breakdown cover etc, yet, thank goodness I did not need to use it, as it really is a great car that made it back safely taking it slow and steady... (On a side note, My mechanic who I have used for many years now, was also surprised by the customer service himself when I told him what had happened, and said I got a very good deal and the car was otherwise in fantastic condition for its model and year) "Mitsubishi Outlander GX3 2.3 4x4". Like I said, it seems like to me, that negative reviews here are unwarranted as the owner insisted that he cover the cost of the repair including the labour, and I have to be honest, I was not expecting this at all, But, it has all been taken care of, even on the telephone from home the next day, they had said if I was still not happy after the repair, then I could still return the car for a full refund or even exchange it for another they had or find another one at no extra cost and would throw in the fuel to get me there and back again or even collect it while I was at work in the week... And after all this, I would do it all again, they made it so easy for me, for this reason, I would recommend them again and again and go back as and when I need to change or upgrade again for something newer in future. They also allowed me to pay by my credit card, whereas all the other garages I had noticed, only accepted cash or bank transfers, and that sounded dodgy in itself to me to be honest. So all in all, I could not have wished for better customer service at all. Thank you Crown Cars for all your help and support, and best wishes to you all!

    Bought a car from here yesterday. I had been talking to them since last week and they have been extremely helpful with a car I was going to trade in but couldnt in the end (due to no fault of this garage it was because my current car found out to be clocked so they couldnt take it in), they have been very kind and helpful with telling me how to get help regarding my current car which means a lot and they were amazing when I went back and bought the car without doing any trade in. The best people Ive ever bought a car off. Very helpful, friendly and just all round amazing! I had a problem with the clutch on the test drive but it was all sorted before buying it as it was just a sticky spring. Very straight to the point about things and tells you whats what. Doesnt faff about. Everything was nice and quick and they were just great. Nothing felt too much of a bother for them and they were happy to help in whatever way possible. I would definitely go back back to this company when buying a car in the future. Couldnt recommend enough. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! :)
