Chillhire

Absolute disgusted with this company. We rented a small freezer van for an event serving ice cream. The van was advertise to achieve -20c. Whilst this was the case driving on the motorway, whilst plugged in with the cable they provided it only managed to reach -11. This ruined over 700 worth of stock, which needs to be kept at -18 to be ready for service and to stop ice crystals forming. After many phone calls and complaining on drop off they didn't really seem to care about the loses they had forces us into but said they would test it and be in touch. Over 10 days after I dropped it off I still haven't heard anything. With the 500 hire, plus insurance & stock loss we are down over 1250 but this company would rather ignore the problem than address it. If you have valuable stock, that needs to be kept below -11 for the entirety of the hire, avoid this company at all costs. Would give 0 stars if it were possible.

We urgently needed vans when the outside catering picked up having sold half our fleet during the lockdowns. Despite a shortage of chiller vans, Chillhire were able to sell us two Ford Connects. The vans turned out to be both excellent and we found the Chillhire team to be all very nice to deal with. We would therefore strongly recommend them. Steve Mansfield

Purchased a Mini for my Daughter. Vehicle was very well prepared, serviced and MOT'd. Veli was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Would highly recommend.
