        Really good nursery, would recommend to everyone

        A great play area for the kids outside. Including a beautiful woodland garden for them to roll up their sleeves and get dirty.. My son loves all his teachers and they are always so kind and informative. The teachers here always go above and beyond for the kids. Would recommend seeing the facilities and meeting the staff yourself

        Caverstede Nursery School is a shadow of it's former self. It is no longer the hub of the community it once was. Caverstede thrived under the leadership of Christine Parker during the early 2000s. Heads that followed Ms.Parker have shown they are not capable of maintaining the high standards that were previously set. Despite the nursery still holding an Ofsted 'Outstanding' status, their latest interim Ofsted report (June 2022) states 'that the inspection grade might not be as high if a full inspection were carried out now'. This organisation is currently overstaffed (source: Schools Financial Benchmarking 2020-2021) and undersubscribed (in 2015 number of children on roll was 152, 2022 number of children on roll 122 despite a substantial extension to one of the classrooms since 2015). Services that were once vital to the community no longer take place within this setting. Unfortunately, Caverstede's prime days are over. There are many, better, pre-school settings to choose from in the area.
