Spike T Smith Drum Tuition

I wanted to play the drums from an early age but never did anything about it, I finally became a pensioner and decided it was now or never. After finding Spike on google search I contacted him to sort out some lessons, which was really easy to do, and began the journey. I'm only two months in but have learnt so much. Spike is such a good teacher who is patient and takes time to explain things at a pace he knows I am comfortable with, no matter how many times we have to go over it. He is knowledgeable and interesting to talk to with great experience. I'm looking forward to continuing the journey ahead and learning more from him.

As a middle aged man I finally decided to learn how to play the drums- something I had wanted to do since I was a teenager. My wife found Spike and arranged me some lessons. Spike is a wonderful teacher- his love of playing is infectious and his patience and immediate ability to see what you are struggling with and how to unblock it means progress in every lesson and the most important bit which is enjoying it as well. As others have said- top bloke, brilliant teacher.

Been playing for many years. Went to Spike for some fine tuning and some fresh ideas. Has been great. The band I play in have noticed the difference, and I know I have gone to a new level in my playing.

I love lessons with Spike. He is has helped me to focus and improve my drumming so much. He is so passionate and direct but he also has an amazing ability to tailor his teaching to the student's needs. I found Spike when searching on line for lessons, and I'm so glad I did. Whoever I talk to seems to know Spike and hold him in very high regard. Knowing him as I do now, I'm not in the least bit surprised about this. Kim (52)

Spike is quite simply superb! My daughter wanted to learn drumming. Spike has been dynamite. His lessons have opened up her dreams. In just a few weeks she has become confident enough to explore and develop her drumming and Spike has been the guiding hand as well as being the free spirit who creates the 'lets do it' drumming dynamic. After each lesson she is alive with excitement about what she has learnt and what she can go home and practice. We can't get back to her own drums fast enough to put the new skills into practice. This is the best tutor-pupil partnership my daughter has ever discovered. Happy drumming days for years to come, I feel! All thanks to Spike and his passion for drumming and his commitment to sharing his skills.
