Our recent visit to Peterborough required the use of a wheelchair for the Friday through to the Sunday. When we tried to tell the three staff present that we wouldn't be able to return their wheelchair on the Monday as we wouldn't be there, it was met with a high level of negativity. Whilst the three were sorting themselves out, I happened to read the notice on their door that spelled out what the correct procedure was ( just leave it with the customer service area on level 5 of the car park) Eventually they arrived at the same conclusion. I know that the staff are volunteers, but their ignorance came out as rudeness and was not welcome.
