I needed a reliable folding electric wheelchair for my wife as we do a lot of coach travel and their restrictions are becoming ridiculous. We had tried a lightweight version around 19 kg with disaster effects. (Note this was from a different company). I came across Bentley nursing supplies and these seem to have specifications that I were looking for. In my case important split wheel so you can get a replacement tyre and a 12 inch wheel to go with it. I also wanted solid tyres or the way around which thisD09 has. The website states the front wheel is 8 inch which is not correct it is 7 inch. Couldnt have our initial colour there was such a long waiting time however we chose a silver colour and the delivery was quick. The packaging was excellent, some people might struggle in getting the chair out but its obviously designed for safety. Instructions atrocious. I have mentioned this to the company. It seems to contradict all of the information I know about lithium batteries and charging. It is always the same in every products there was always good points and bad points and that is no different with this chair. The bad points although could be improved quite easily are as follows: when the chair is turned on the lights are not very easy to see, would be better with 8 inch front wheels and something I found out the hard way the locking mechanisms at the back to lock the motors in or free drive when in drive mode if youre walking behind very easy to catch them and put it into freewheel the wait is around 26 kg which for most coach companies they dont like but compromising on the weight of the chair can weaken the structure tremendously. Removing both batteries will make it slightly lighter. Generally we are happy with this version and the staff at Bentley and would like to thank Jim as he went out of his way to try and sort out the technical issues we had.
