I was walking around the shop with my girlfriend, had my hands in my coat pockets and took them out when looking at items, then put them back in (which lots of people do). Next thing I hear is this women straight up accuse me of stealing..no investigation, didn't check CCTV, just jumped straight to the conclusion that I was stealing..made me empty my pockets, and then didn't even apologise for calling me out in front of the whole shop.
Not the way forward, if you're going to accuse someone then at least back it up. You can't have guess work in this scenario.
If you're worried about people stealing then hire a security guard who is trained to deal with these situation.
