After my last appointment being cancelled due to covid, I finally felt comfortable to be able to return to setting where I would be in very close proximity to others, as you are when visiting the dentist. I have been registered at this practice quite a number of years and on the whole haven't had the best of experiences with the practice changing dentists etc. However, today pretty much tin hats it. I've called to make an appointment having lost a filling and needing a check up, to be told that, as I hadn't visited them in the last two years or called them to say "happy covid", they had automatically deregistered me. As it seems common practice, the person whom answered the phone was on training and knew little about nothing so I was embraced in a three way conversation with a colleague of hers yelling across the surgery. Initially, I'm told I would now need to travel to the surgery to fill out a form, no doubt containing all of my information that they already have, then after being told to wait I could hear the colleague yelling that that was wrong and they were not accepting new patients. I asked if that meant that they no longer wanted me as a patient and was told simply, yes. I informed the lady that they had a fantastic customer focused system and bid her good day. Obviously, I would not recommend this surgery in any way at all having had to make a couple of serious complaints over the years and now this. They are are all so clearly wrapped up in their own red tape I hope it will be their demise.
