Purchased a Focus ST, had overheating issues on the drive home. Was told by the dealership to use the 3rd party warranty company which I did. The dealership did pay the shortfall however I feel this was a tactic as it meant by the time 3 repairs/ garage visits were carried out I was outside of 30 days right to rejection. In total the car had about 1700 spent on fixing leaks but It was later determined that the car had cracked head/ head gasket fault as a result. Im not saying the dealership knew of this prior but it would of been hard to miss the signs of coolant loss had it been serviced properly. There was only one service invoice available from the full service history which had been supposedly carried out by the garage next door. I had to buy another cheap car while I waited and battled for this to be dealt with, all the while paying the finance agreement. Around 7 months of sitting doing nothing and having to get the financial ombudsman involved the car has finally been taken away. But by the finance company, the dealership refused to offer further assistance I was told. In summary - The 3rd party warranty offered is a waste of time the dealership have a system of avoiding hefty repair bills or refunds from cars not fit for purpose. My experience is unfortunate and hopefully one of very few.. if you must buy a car from these guys dont take anything at face value. Request all paperwork stated is handed over, get your independent inspection done, any issues take it straight back. DO NOT PAY CASH use finance or credit card as that will at least give you some backup should things end up going bad as they did for me.

This is my experience of AA Prestige Cars one day after buying a used Mercedes from them. I am not a skilled car buyer and admit to being nervous about the whole process of trading in my elderly Golf and finalising the price for our new family car. Could not have gone easier. Ajo and Roger were fantastically patient with me and no pressure whatsoever. Wandered around the showroom and really amazing stock I know where Ill be going for our next car. Within minutes Ajo had agreed a deal with me that worked perfectly. Car collected yesterday and whole process and forms filling made utterly painless. Little touches such as respraying some scratches I hadnt noticed and replacing a battery were all done for me before delivery. A fresh clean MOT was given and previous advisories all dealt with. Car prepared and spotlessly clean. Its really difficult to offer a judgement or review of a team that will influence a buyer looking for a very specific car. All I can say is check out their stock first. They really are that good. At no time was I worried or anxious about dealing with them. Totally reassuring at every step. Impossible to compare or define easily, and I accept this may sound odd, but felt the same confidence as I get at John Lewis. (Strange comparison I know, but came instantly to mind.) Theyve got me as a lifetime customer for future cars and no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them.
