        Lovely setting and good choice of drinks. Cozy classic interior. But not a great roast dinner. The crucial test is roast potatoes and these were not crispy and a bit oily.

        The one staff member who ignored us and was then quite abrupt, during a busy lunch-time, makes this a poor venue in our book! Seems popular with locals having hot meals at lunch-time.

        Looks derelict from outside when approaching from smarts hill. Bar and tables covered in dirty glasses and plates. When it wasnt even busy. Person behind the bar seemed to be having a bad day and couldnt really be bothered to serve us.
