The large double room I stayed in was beautiful, with a view of the park across the road. I loved the attention to detail with the complimentary brownie and chocolate with the tea and coffee in my room. Breakfast was delicious. Susan was very helpful and accommodating. Prime location within walking distance of the cbd. Absolute pleasure staying here. Highly recommend

We planned a last minute trip to Lake District and found this highly recommended Albany Guest House in Penrith to stay. It was very reasonably priced and considering it was the Jubilee weekend, we were quite surprised to find this place at a reasonable price with high ratings. Without wasting time, we booked it. We were not expecting much so we were pleasantly surprised on our visit. Susan and her husband who is also an award winning chef are perfect hosts. The breakfast was amazing,the location was fantastic, the hosts were very kind and the guest house was lovely. We highly recommend this place to stay if you are visiting Lake District.
