Flat site. Not the most attractive entrance but the touring area opens out onto a wild field. This can be a bit waterlogged in winter and covered in Brent or Canada Geese. There are coastal walks through a nature reserve directly from the site. We had an extremely friendly, exceptionally jolly, comedic welcome. The showers and toilets were worn but spotlessly clean. it can be very busy and noisy in the summer but quiet in rainy March. The view is of the Isle of Wight if you stand on tiptoe. The Hurst Castle mentioned in its name is not visible.
