Advice you all to keep away from this place, absolutely diabolical disgusting place to put your family members as they dont get the care they deserve and staff members are rude

Got a care position a while ago, made me pay for DBS. Could not arrange for me to just work late shifts for childcare reasons despite being terribly understaffed. Would rather be understaffed and not providing care properly than letting me (experienced carer) have late shifts. Did not pay me for the weeks work done despite many emails to the manager Tracey who kept saying would pay me! Care standards very low, no where near the standards upheld at the home I worked out previously. Very surprised this home is still open?! Avoid!!

My mom was in Longridge for about 2.5 years. Some of the staff were exceptionally caring, others not so much. Im afraid I was really quite upset to find that my moms care didnt meet my expectations. She had dementia and was crippled with arthritis. Why they left her with tea and coffee in cups she couldnt pick up was beyond me. There was no way she could drink unaided. I was also very upset to see finger nails overgrown and filthy and toe nails overgrown. Ive no idea when or if she was showered. As I said, some staff members were really good, others were rude, unhelpful and patronising. Its very difficult to complain because you just dont know if its going to be taken out on her. Shes passed away now and at least we dont have to worry.
