90% was positive - friendly and nice to deal with. Although when I asked for a vehicle to be unlocked I was asked can you afford it Which is extremely unprofessional as I work at a dealership myself. Not to throw shade at these guys as Im sure he didnt mean it maliciously but its still quite offensive. I dont like to give bad reviews to be honest but something just really rubbed me the wrong way with how they treated me as a customer who was extremely interested in a particular vehicle. I will edit the review to 5* as I do not want to affect your family business as you are pleasant people. However my comments were in fact true and the people I came with are witness to that. Instead of defending it, learn from it. All the best for the future.

An excellent company to deal with. I put a deposit down on a car unseen and was kept fully informed of the work they were doing to get it ready for collection. I wasnt disappointed when I went to pick it up. Would 100% recommend

Two stars. First star for the ease of sale and friendliness of the staff (which I CAN NOT FAULT WHATSOEVER) Second star for the help in regards of 'towing' the faulty car I purchased and getting it repaired while providing a semi-suitable substitute vehicle FOR FREE. On the evening of 24/02/23 (DOP) the vehicle presented with a suspected oil leak. On Saturday we took the vehicle to the only open and available garage who stated that we should "Take it back. Just take it back". Then went onto say that there was an issue with the shock and corrosion to the brake pipe. Furthermore they suspected an issue with the turbo but stated that we should come back in a few days to see if there was any further leakage (it was possible the leakage was a 'spill'). After letting Chatfields know, they were quick to offer support by requesting we return the vehicle to be fixed but due to our reliance on our now, only vehicle we weren't able to quickly take up the offer and tried to find alternate solutions closer to home. From this, we were then told that the vehicle could have a 'glow plug' issue aswell as the turbo and shock fault. Due to the advice given to us from the garages we went to AND a very scary, prior experience, it was decided to deem the vehicle unsafe for driving. As such, Chatfields kindly offered a tow AND free use of a company car. Now, when the driver arrived I didn't see a tow, lorry or trailer but was told it had been parked near by. Prior to him picking up the vehicle I set the milage counter to '0'. It is now on 71. Photos have been taken for proof. It is likely that the vehicle DID get towed, but I am only going by fact, and the information available to me. Id like to add that as far as I'm concerned...the actions behind star two are not something to particularly praise for due to the fact that it has caused us major inconvenience from just 16hours post purchase (noticing the first issues), till now (having waited nearly 4 HOURS(17:56?!), in Stafford, 71 miles from home, with my two young children being left at a babysitters, my 2 dogs at home, AND paying someone to check on my equines, to pick up the vehicle that should have been available at 2pm). Explanation and Reasoning for my rating: Vehicles of any type, age, price, should leave in satisfactory condition and should be fit for purpose (or to the description of the sale). This particular vehicle had only just recieved an MOT and service. To which it passed despite the following; 1x rear fog light fault 1x front left shock fault (despite being newly fitted just days prior the bolts had been fitted in the wrong position which made removable difficult for the garage) Unclipped air filter Front right tyre @ 23psi. Bolts for the turbo loose *Dealership, feel free to dispute. However, I have spent time speaking to the garage and this is what has been said. I understand that you are not mechanic's and as such, you rely on local businesses to ensure your vehicles are fit for sale. Sadly, in this instance, the vehicle had issues. It would be wise to rethink your methods of repair AND which garages you should use in the future. Island garage did a good job with the vehicle in getting it to sale condition, despite the confusion which led to us waiting so long. Aside from that, thank-you. The vehicle was reasonably priced, clean interior and freshly polished exterior. The lady of the house was happy to help with showing us the general controls despite close to closing on the 24th. I appreciate the work that Kelly(?) and Michael did in the absence of their parents. It did make the process slightly easier. ***aaand rear fog light is still out ****AAAND were already changing break pads AND the break fluid was completely black
