Penge Quality Fish

Purchased some mackerel today and paid 10, no receipt- a queue was building so didn't want to fuss- also wanted to give them a chance to prove they are trustworthy. Got home to find it weighed 1 kilo, so should have paid 7- plus they did not clean up the fish and one of the fish was very old, thin and floppy. I like to support independent local shops but shall avoid this place and warn friends and family. Cheating others only harms you in the long run. Update: I rang owner, as per his request. He advised 10 for 3 mackerel was correct. However, the prices on their display board showed 7 for 1 kilo, thus is misleading customers. He explained something about the price board being high and needing a ladder...all seems very 'fishy'.

Big shop , nice fresh fish and lots of varieties available all the time. Going there since 2009. The guys are really good and always clean and chop fishes for me as according to my request.
