What I like about LHPS is thus: They have an office that schedules their jobs. This means if someone is due to turn up, they send someone who does turn up. Clean and tidy, polite and professional. Never comdescended to. The office also means that jobs are costed centrally and so the skilled tradespeople that come aren't selling you additional services, they decide on what needs to happen and then the office tells you the price. Other plumbers have tried to pressure me then and there for a decision, never LHPS. Also local to SE London whixh helps. Good, trustworthy and sorted out numerous things and installed a new boiler so worked with them a lot over the years.

The company engineer incorrectly installed my thermostat and receiver to the timer. They wired up the receiver to a non- permanent live. This meant that the receiver was being switched on and off by the timer. When I informed the company about this, they said that my timer was at fault and would need to be replaced. I requested that I wanted a second opinion from another company and got another engineer to have a look. The engineer confirmed that it most likely had been wired incorrectly and got the system working without replacing my boiler timer. If I had not followed my gut, I would have paid over GBP400 for work that was either incorrectly done or not required. On a lessor note, the engineers did not turn up within the 4 hour specified window on several occassions. I had not been notified beforehand causing me to waste a considerable part of my day waiting. I had a boiler fitted by LHPS, which caused a leak from my main bathroom, as the engineer sent out did not adequately assess the job before proceeding. While LHPS did send the engineer back out to fix the issue, I was offered no compensation for the significant water damage caused by water coming down from the bathroom into the entrance hall of my home. It was coming from light fittings, and was very distressing. Just to be clear, the potential affect of improperly dealt with leaks such as this is potential mould growth (a health hazard) and structural damage to my property. Never did LHPS make any attempt to remediate, or compensate me for the damages caused solely by the poor professionalism and workmanship of their engineer. Service: Heating system installation
