I'm sorry to have to leave a 1* but something has to change at this surgery. Appointment system is awful, the past 2 days I've called at 8am, sat on hold for 50minutes before being told there's no appointments left. I'm not in a desperate situation but if I was where would that lead me? It's also unsustainable, people can't sit on hold for hours for appointments. Please return to the pre-covid system of giving people the flexibility to book advance appointments, if you read through the google reviews and speak to your own reception team it's obvious this isn't working for anyone.

Receptionists clearly need some training..A 70 year-old friend was told she needed to go into surgery to complete a form as her details were not recognised online. She was repeatedly told they had none in the office and that she had to go home and fill it in online. After she said that if was law for them to have the forms, they got one from the cupboard. Then while there she asked about why she had not had a call back after a specialist appointment about her hearing. She told them that she had tried to ring but as the surgery was noisy she couldn't hear what the receptionist had said. The extremely ignorant receptionist said well you seen to be able to hear us ok today. And making snidely comments like can you hear me now. This person is going to contact your surgery and make a complaint as it is disgusting to treat anyone like this. Deafness and age are both protected characteristics, so you are obligated to train your staff to a better level. The fact that over a month on you haven't responded also shows that you don;t actually care. Shame on you. Your patients deserve much better.
