I am saddened to have to share that l fell victim to a local fraud duo, one of whom was also regularly attending bible studies and community lunches here, and who was even trusted with kitchen volunteering by the chaplain in charge, on these occasions. Like a number of people in the area, l lost a large sum of money to the duo, and am bitterly disappointed by the failure of the ministry team to adequately support me in this matter, via their connections with the local police service. Perhaps one half expects an experience like this from a church whose actual alignment at worship deviates from the norm? But the poor and vulnerable can't always choose where we get our support from.
